Drummond and Levy in West Orange

You may not think you’d find superb live jazz at a supermarket, but if you stop by the Whole Foods in West Orange on a Tuesday, that’s exactly what you’ll hear. This week, Teaneck bassist Ray Drummond will be joined by tenor saxophonist Jed Levy. Between them, they have played with a who’s who in jazz, including Stan Getz, Wynton Marsalis and Jaki Byard. The pair will sound off each other from 6 to 8 p.m., and like all events in the mart’s ongoing Baldwin Jazz Series, the concert is free. 235 Prospect Avenue in West Orange; visit wholefoodsmarket.com.
